Snowden To Pera Trail Network & Peavine Mountain Bicycle Club
Gotta have trails to ride all these sweet bikes!
We’ve been working on the trail network in this area of the George Washington National Forest since 2014. By simply taking the time (ok, a lot of time) to reclaim and maintain existing trail beds, we’ve managed to put together quite a network.
We have recently started the process of a group volunteer agreement with the National Forest Service to legitimize and sanction the trails we all love to ride. More news as this develops, but we are officially on the books as the “Peavine Mountain Bicycle Club”.
Only a few of the trails are marked, so make sure you have a map and can read topo lines. We are available to offer parking/route suggestions and with some notice can schedule a guided tour (moderate pace at best)! Come out and explore and see the beauty Amherst County can offer! Plenty of camping options in the area as well.
